A small and very charming hotel in the heart of Florence close to the Medici Chapels and the Duomo. A few steps away from Santa Maria Novella and the most important florentine Museums and Galleries.

The ancient Pensione Burchianti, established in 1919 by the Burchianti sisters, was the florentine residence of swiss collegians of good family.
Also famous Italians such as poets, opera singers and politicians were guests of the Pensione Burchianti in the years of the1930’s.

Originally situated in via del Giglio 6 in the Bartolini Salimbeni palace, from 2001 has been transferred on the piano nobile (first floor) of the neighbouring renaissance Palazzo Castiglioni,

where has been re-created the atmosphere of the old times in large spaces, finely frescoed, moving all the furniture, carpets, silver and china ware.

The Hotel Burchianti is included in the “Guide of historical shops and hotels in Florence”.
